I was looking at your setup. Did you go with the M1 Ultra or the Max and what other specs did you end up going with? What has been the experience so far? I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a new setup once I get this new product launched and can take a breather

Hey, I went with M1 Max with 64 GB RAM and I'm very pleased so far. I'm mainly using it right now for some web and native mobile development with some docker containers and can say that the Android Emulator and iOS Simulators are flying, almost instant start. I was considering between MacBook Pro or Studio and I jump for Studio because of the new world where remote and work from home is the new normal. Also I have a work machine and another laptop to take care of the battery health drives me more to a stationery Studio. When I have new MacBook Pro I imagine this Studio to be my home and build machine and going with the MacBook around - traveling, sharing it with wife etc. Let me know if you have more questions.

PS. Many says that 64GB is a overkill and maybe they are right, but I was looking for more like 5-10 years landscape. Around me there are a lot of people still using some 10 years old mac minis.

Coolio. Yeah I am kinda motivated to get a desktop so I can get a lot more horsepower.. but good to know about the 64GB of RAM because that is what I was going to go with… just deciding now whether to spend the extra on the Ulta chip or not.. but maybe I will save a little $$$ and just stick with the Max
