When using the CLI I nhost up I simply got the storage schema when it opened the Hasura dashboard.

Right, I think you mentioned HIPAA a bit ago. I don't know if the CLI helps at all with self-hosting but it's slick :-).

Could you spin up a project just for local dev but not use it in production, then slave your self hosted version to a branch in that same repo? I'm saying that not knowing exactly where the pain points are :-).

i should probably look at the hosted nhost at some point just so i understand what everyones talking about 😉

I guess I'm saying if you spin up a free project with local dev tied to a repo (or same repo's branch), you could compare the result of the local version to what you're trying to build with self hosted and it might help you along to getting self-hosted working.

Should also ask for help again here and see if others understand your issue. Also, if you haven't, try a GH Issue.
